DHX-600 DISC HARROW
The evolution of the heavy harrow, the next level of performance for post harvest and pre-seeding.
Professional producers require equipment that can manage increased straw and chaff loads post-harvest, increase water penetration, quicken soil warming and promote weed seed germination for a proper pre-seed burn-off operation. DHX-600 high speed tillage unit does all that with its double row of wavy coulters and five bar heavy harrow. The coulters engage the ground sizing the straw and mixing the chaff within the top layer of soil. The heavy harrow evenly distributes, levels and breaks up residue that is discharged by the coulters. The DHX-600 Disc Harrow is the is the evolution of the heavy harrow, the next level of performance for post harvest and pre-seeding. We have recently added the option of a Valmar Fertilizer Kit for the DHX-600.
-
The DHX’s two rows of 18” eight wave coulters on 8” spacing followed by five bars of 5/8” x 26” heavy harrow tines allows it to efficiently chop straw, mix residue with the ground all while spreading and levelling.
-
The coulters are mounted to a four bolt service free hub and a specially designed shank. The rubber torsion shank has beendesigned for long life and ground following.
- The harrow tine coils are designed to get larger towards the outside of the tine to reduce stress during field operation. All harrows are controlled hydraulically for on the go adjustment. The down pressure on the harrow section can be easily adjusted with two large tension springs.
-
There is a single point depth control for the discs mounted at the rear of the machine. Simply move the adjustment along the slide to set your disc depth.

The harrow tine coils are designed to get larger towards the outside of the tine so as to reduce stress during field operation.
-
When it comes to the amount of force the harrows are exerting on the ground there are three options: Spring, Manual Hydraulic and Electronic Hydraulic. The Spring adjustment uses two ten- sion springs that can be adjusted to increase or lower the amount of force put onto the harrows. This option only provides down pressure onto the harrows. Both of the Hydraulic options use cylinders mounted onto the harrow arms to adjust either down or up pressure. Up pressure will take weight off the harrows for working in extremely heavy debris or damp conditions. The difference between the Manual and Electronic Hydraulic versions is that the Manual version has a valve on the hitch which you manually use to adjust the up or down pressure on the harrows. The Electronic version allows you to adjust the up or down pres- sure on the harrows using a monitor system from the comfort of your cab.
-
The main frame of the DHX is made from 12” x 12” 3/8” thick tubing making the machine robust and providing the necessary weight to make the disks extremely effective.
The cast wing knuckles use 2.5” diameter pins along with spring steel bushings which are greasable to ensure long life. -
No more Cables! The DHX incorporates a hydraulic lock for the wing tension links. Cables stretch and can catch on things and inadvertently open the lock during operation. The hydraulic actuated lock eliminates all those issues and incorporates a lock pin to prevent inadvertent actuation of the cylinder during field operation.
